This exercise will commence on Sunday on the East Bank of Demerara Main Access Road. The aim is to ensure that the roadways, pavement, and sidewalks are clean.

The Ministry noted that the exercise would be done in consultation with the people to ensure that there is no disruption of economic activity.

To this end, the Ministry noted that debris, builders waste, sand, and cut trees would not be allowed to encumber the roadways or the movements of pedestrians.

“All encumbrances found on the Government’s reserve during this campaign will be removed immediately with a recovery cost attached,” the Ministry noted.
